Windsor Windows' New 90 Degree Corner Window Available from Huttig®
Windsor is adding an exciting offering to their products designed for contemporary architecture, and it will be available from Huttig®. The new Pinnacle clad 90 degree corner window is constructed using a low-profile direct set frame allowing for correct alignment with other Pinnacle clad low-profile products. As with the Pinnacle clad low profile direct set and radius unit, the Pinnacle clad corner window frame will incorporate a 3/4" wood frame and clad frame height of 1-1/2".
Windsor's 90 degree corner window features:
- An option for standard or contemporary stops
- A nail fin kerf for standard fin and drip cap, as well as a rigid nailing fin and extruded drip cap
- A 3 degree frame slope to match Pinnacle clad casement and standard direct set
- A deeper exterior glazing leg, allowing for the use of the tall putty WDL bar
- Glass positioned in the same plane as the Pinnacle clad casement glass
- Frame corners are keyed, screwed and silicone injected; the corner post connection to the main frame will also be screwed and silicone injected
- Vinyl drip cap and vinyl nailing fin will be standard on all corner windows; rigid drip cap and rigid nailing fins are optional
The Pinnacle clad corner window will be available in two options, glazed with a corner post or open with no corner post. Open units with no corner post will require field glazing by others.
The Pinnacle clad corner window has been tested and certified to a PG50 performance rating with the following max and min restrictions:
- Maximum of 60 sq ft when combining both sides of the corner window
- Maximum height of 8'-6"
- Minimum height of 1'-0"
- Maximum width of 10'-0" (Both sides cannot exceed 7'-6")
- Minimum width of 1'-0"
Windsor's corner window units (glazed with a corner post or open with no corner post) are not structural load bearing units. Openings for corner windows need to be engineered by an architect or structural engineer.
Be sure to get this exciting news in the hands of your customers. This product, along with Windsor's other low-profile windows and narrow patio door panels, opens up new possibilities for contemporary projects!
